MORE ABOUT "LE PRINCE"...

"Le Prince" is a classical symphonic ouverture I composed and dedicated to HSH Prince Albert II of Monaco.

 

In writing this piece I took inspiration from the history of the Princes and the Principality, with its moments of glory, passion and sadness. The piece incudes, towards the end, a few bars from the Principality's national anthem, an hommage to the Principality and its nation.

 

The Monaco Philharmonic Orchestra (OPMC) made a CD recording of the piece in its full symphonic version in October 2015 and will soon be performed in Monaco under the baton of  maestro Gianluigi Gelmetti.

 

In November 2014 I was delighted to conduct an ensemble from the Singapore Symphony Orchestra (SSO) playing the piece in its initial chamber music version at the Marina Bay Sands.
